It's been a little over a year since we fell in love with Molly Nilsson's 'About Somebody' and her stunning 2017 full length Imaginations. Luckily for us, the Scandinavian synth-pop supremo has just unveiled the sparse yet beautiful lead single from her recently announced new album 2020. Centred around tumbling synth pads, super-minimal drums and the chorus' enticing vocal hook 'All I ever needed', 'Serious Flowers' is both raw and incredibly accomplished. In keeping with the spirit of America's recent 4th of July celebrations, the accompanying video sees Nilsson's head superimposed against a pitch black background, filled with glittering fireworks. 2020 arrives on the 21st of October via DARK SKIES ASSOCIATION and Night School Records. -Holly Mullineaux
